Why they call it that is a mystery that has no answer, but perhaps it's because it's short-lived, incredibly effective, and there's something on the menu to suit every taste.
And in order to understand whether the favorite diet is suitable, you need to know the most important things about it.
Secrets of effectiveness and real benefits of the favorite weight loss diet
Favorite is one of the most unusual and popular weight loss methods, which is a kind of compilation of different fasting days.
According to scientific data, when the body is constantly forced to change its metabolism to process a variety of foods, its energy expenditure increases significantly and it is more likely to function in a somewhat unusual way.
And in the favorite diet for losing weight, the products are diverse (and at the same time similar if you compare those that can be consumed on the same day).
And foods are also divided into two non-overlapping categories: solid foods and drinking foods.
The accelerated breakdown of subcutaneous fat depots is also influenced by a lack of fats and carbohydrates (especially simple ones), as well as a generally low-calorie diet.
In addition, weight loss occurs due to the removal of excess fluid from the body caused by the diuretic effect of certain foods and the depletion of glycogen reserves, a product of glucose processing.
The number of kilograms lost depends largely on the original body weight.
The more it is above the norm in each individual case, the more meaningful the numbers on the scale are.
This value varies approximately:
- from 3 to 6 kg in a week;
- from 5 to 10 kg in two weeks;
- from 7 to 15 kg in three weeks.
However, the latter option is unsafe in terms of the burden on the body, weakens the normal state of health and is not recommended by many doctors.
Therefore, it is better to limit yourself to one or two diet cycles without interruption.
You can return to your favorite diet no earlier than 3-4 months.
Features of the favorite weight loss diet
The favorite diet is not a simple diet.Eating something outside of the planned menu (which, of course, should not be indulged in) is often accompanied by increased emotional fatigue, reduced physical endurance and periodic acute attacks of thirst.
During the diet, it is recommended to avoid heavy work and other stress and not to travel (adapting to a new climate and even a new time zone will be difficult).
Taking a vitamin-mineral complex can be helpful.
It is also important to take into account that this method of losing weight places a huge burden on the body and is unacceptable if you have serious health problems.
In particular, the favorite weight loss diet is contraindicated in the following cases:
- exacerbation of a chronic disease;
- diabetes mellitus;
- rehabilitation period after surgery;
- increased blood cholesterol levels;
- current fall-winter viral or infectious disease (e.g. flu, sore throat);
- Gastritis;
- dysfunction of the endocrine (hormone) system;
- tendency to faint;
- liver disease;
- hypotension (low blood pressure);
- Varicose veins.
Exiting your favorite weight loss diet, like many others, should be done smoothly, that is, gradually:
- increasing the calorie content of the daily diet;
- an increase in fats and carbohydrates consumed (complex at first, then simple);
- Removal of the main food products from the diet;
- adding sweets, sausages, pastries and the like to the menu;
- Reducing the amount of fluid you drink (to usual amounts).
Rushing after a diet (if you don't proceed so carefully for at least a week) always leads to one result: the return of the weight, often to a greater extent than before starting the weight loss program.
Nutrition rules for losing weight on your favorite diet
The alternation of “tables” in seven-day courses of this diet may be different, but everything should end with days of balanced nutrition that bring metabolic processes to a relatively normal state.
Drinking table
Everything you can drink is consumed, so we're talking about the first warm dishes.
Usually these are vegetable or meat broths, but if you cook puree soup, the proportion of pureed vegetables should be minimal.
And fruit and vegetable juices must be without pulp.
It is not forbidden to drink jelly - starch protects the digestive tract from disruption.
The menu may also include tea, herbal teas, black coffee, kefir, yogurt, whey and skimmed milk.Mineral water without gas is required.
Vegetable table
This category of products can be prepared as you like - boiled, stewed, baked in the oven or on the grill, simply chopped... You can, of course, add unrefined vegetable oil and spices - herbs.The choice of vegetables in quantities of up to 1.5 kg per day is not limited, with the only exceptions being potatoes and sweet potatoes, turnips and corn.
fruit table
Products of this variety are consumed raw and baked (cinnamon and aromatic herbs will make you forget that there is no sugar).It is recommended to give preference to pomegranates, citrus fruits, dragon fruits, peaches, papayas, apples, pineapples, mangoes, kiwis, peaches and pears.You can eat up to 1.5-2 kg of fruit per day.And the main thing is not to eat sweet fruits – grapes with bananas, raisins, dates and dried apricots.
Protein table
In this case, eggs, more precisely their protein, are valued.All meat should be lean - poultry, fish, squid and shrimp, veal and rabbit.The presence of low-fat cheese is also required, preferably from goat's milk.And low-fat fermented milk products – cottage cheese, yogurt, kefir.
You can add soy products (milk, meat and tofu), mushrooms and a small amount of nuts.You prepare everything using the same type of vegetables, without sacrificing spices, oil and lemon juice for marinating before baking.
Balanced table
This menu for the last day of the diet is a combination of the best that existed in previous versions of the fasting day.
And it is worth noting that permitted foods are also classified as “negative calorie” foods, meaning that the body takes as much or less energy from them than it uses to digest them.
These foods, whose presence on the nutritional table (vegetable and balanced) is extremely desirable, include:
- Zucchini;
- Asparagus;
- Pineapple;
- apples;
- cabbage (especially broccoli and cauliflower);
- cucumbers;
- grapefruits;
- green beans;
- Papaya;
- mushrooms (some);
- Paprika;
- Radish.
Salt and sugar are prohibited for one week of the diet, but salt is allowed for two weeks and the sweetness of sugar is replaced with honey and maple syrup.
On any day (except drinking days) you can add sprouted bean sprouts.
To lose weight on the Beloved diet, you do not need to strictly dose the portions.However, it is better, firstly, not to exceed the recommended daily calorie intake, and secondly, not to eat more than is necessary for relative satiety, at which a hint of hunger remains.
It is recommended to set the table for dinner no later than 3 hours before going to bed, and for breakfast no earlier than 30 minutes after waking up.
There is no need to eat dry - a few sips will not spoil anything, but excess liquid dilutes the gastric juice and thereby disrupts digestion.So you should drink 30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals (outside drinking days 1.5 liters per day).
A useful addition for every 7 days can be the habit of drinking a glass of a proven and scientifically proven fat metabolism activator in the morning - ginger tea with lemon,
